Lightweight Aluminum Honeycomb Optical Breadboards
Our aluminum optical breadboards have 3/16 in. thick aluminum skins laminated to aluminum honeycomb core. These breadboards have greater than 50% direct core-to-metal skin contact, providing a strong bond and static rigidity. Holes are sealed with a film that can be punctured and the core breaks away, allowing the full depth of the breadboard to be utilized.We offer these breadboards in 4 in., 2 in., 1 in. and 1/2 in. core thicknesses. The flatness measures less than 0.01 in. over 1 ft. cumulative distance and the entire breadboard is coated in a black, anti-reflective finish.
