Base plates are commonly used for positioning and fastening our PH-series of Post Holders to optical tables. Posts and post holders are attached to the base plates via 1/4-20 cap screws placed through the bottom-located counterbores.

This slotted mounting base plate is designed as a stable method of mounting a post or post holder to the optical table. The mounting base plate has 3 bottom located counterbored clearance holes for 1/4-20 cap head screw. Likewise, a machined relief cut has been added to the base mounting plates to ensure flat, stable mounting to a variety of surfaces including breadboards and optical tables. Clearance slots allow flexible mounting to either a US (imperial) breadboard. This post holder base plate is compatible with Imperial tables, posts, and post holders.
