Base plates are commonly used for positioning and fastening our Ø1/2 in. Post Holders and Ø1/2 in. Posts to optical tables. Posts and post holders are attached to the base plates via 1/4-20 cap screws through the bottom-located counterbores.

This slotted mounting base plate is designed as a compact method of mounting a post or post holder to the optical table. The mounting base plate has a single counterbored clearance hole for 1/4-20 cap head screws. Likewise, a relief cut has been added to the base mounting plate to ensure flat, stable mounting to a variety of surfaces including breadboards and optical tables. The B1X3 is compatible with US (imperial) tables, posts, and post holders, but clearance slots also allow for flexible mounting when non-standard or rotated orientations cannot be avoided.
